As “investors” in early childhood education, District of Columbia families stand to reap tremendous benefits for their children and for their communities. Pre-K for All DC encourages families to enroll their children in high-quality programs, become active in their children’s’ early childhood experiences, and to advocate for citywide policies that will benefit both their family and all DC families. Yet the availability and affordability of high-quality programs – particularly for infants and toddlers – remain challenges for families across the city. Finding Early Care and Education Services in the District of Columbia The Washington Child Development Council currently operates the resource and referral agency for the District of Columbia – including an online directory of child development centers.
