Launched in June 2006, Pre-K for All DC is a public education and advocacy campaign that envisions a District of Columbia where every child is given a successful start in school and in life as part of the city's efforts to secure its civic health today and its future economic vitality.
The campaign works on behalf of DC’s children and families and is co-chaired by Federal City Council Chair Terry Golden and former DC Board of Education At-Large Member Carrie Thornhill. Pre-K for All DC’s multiple public education and advocacy strategies are guided by a steering committee composed of a cross-section of DC’s early education and education stakeholders.
Pre-K for All DC is funded by Pre-K Now, the Citybridge Foundation, PNC, and other private and corporate funders.
